Lead Front-End Developer
Main Points
- Job Title: Lead Front-End Developer
- Reporting To: IT Director
- Location: Normally based in Glasgow. Option to work from one of our worldwide offices for up to a month per year.
Work as part of the development team, focusing on front-end design and implementation of web and mobile applications.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design and implement public facing web and mobile applications
- Develop front-end UI of in-house web and mobile applications, and 3rd party systems
- Conceptualise and wire-frame user interfaces
- Work with end users to gather interface requirements
- Contribute expertise in design and implementation discussions / decisions
- Create technical specifications
- Provide input into project estimates and work plans
- Create and maintain application documentation throughout SDLC
- Apply testing methodologies and gather feedback from user acceptance testing
- Participate in product launch activities
- Research, test, and apply new technologies to help improve systems and processes
- Assist with design and production of company presentations and other marketing materials
- Skill Requirements:
- Concrete knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
- Demonstrable skills in responsive and mobile-first design
- Good working knowledge of image creation software
- Good communication skills
- Skills Desired:
- Angular, RESTful APIs, MVC, SignalR, SASS, LESS, Compass, Grunt, Gulp
- .NET Framework, PHP, Perch
- Understanding of SQL

- Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role, attend training when required
- Maintain regular and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance
